Antminer S19 in 2026: what the series still is good for

Bitmain's S19 generation was the most-built Bitcoin miner in history, which is exactly why it is the best-supported used hardware you can buy: hashboards, PSUs, fans and control boards are available everywhere, firmware such as Braiins OS is mature, and every hosting provider knows the form factor. Within the series the models differ mainly in energy per terahash. The S19j Pro delivers 104 TH/s at 3068W (29.5 J/TH); the S19k Pro reaches 115 TH/s at 2645-2760W (23 J/TH); the Hydro variants use water cooling to reach 230-473 TH/s at 12-23 J/TH per unit.

Against the current S21 generation (17.5 J/TH and better) every air-cooled S19 uses more electricity per terahash. That is the trade-off you buy into: a much lower purchase price against higher running cost. At solar surplus, cheap commercial power or as a heater replacement the S19 remains the fastest way to get hashrate for little money; at household tariffs without heat reuse it is the wrong tool, and we say so before you order.

Antminer S19j Pro and S19k Pro specifications

The table lists the S19j Pro as shipped from our warehouse. The S19k Pro differs in hashrate (115 TH/s), power draw (2645-2760W) and efficiency (23 J/TH); the Hydro models in cooling (water), hashrate (230-473 TH/s) and power (3500-6000W). All three share the SHA-256 algorithm, the Bitmain web interface and the same rack footprint.

Should I buy an Antminer S19 used or new?

The air-cooled S19 models in our range are used, tested units: they cost a fraction of their original price and deliver the same hashrate. Every unit runs a full load cycle on our own power supply before it ships, with the hashrate logged per hashboard. The water-cooled Hydro models are new and boxed. A new air-cooled S19 no longer makes economic sense against the current S21 generation, which is why we do not list one.

How loud is an Antminer S19?

Air-cooled S19 models (S19j Pro, S19k Pro) run at roughly 75 dB according to the manufacturer – comparable to a vacuum cleaner. They belong in a basement, garage, workshop or utility room, not in a living space. The water-cooled Antminer Hydro moves the noise to the external cooler and is far quieter at the unit itself.

What warranty applies to a used Antminer S19?

Statutory warranty applies: 12 months for consumers on used units and 24 months on new units such as the Hydro models. We do not add a voluntary guarantee on top. Because every used S19 is load-tested and documented before dispatch, you know the condition of the unit you receive.
