Bitmain positions the T series as the value line of each generation: same chip family as the S series, a bit less binning, a lower price. The T21 delivers 190 TH/s from 3610W, i.e. 19 J/TH – noticeably better than the whole air-cooled S19 generation (23 J/TH for the S19k Pro, 29.5 J/TH for the S19j Pro) and only about 8% behind the S21 (17.5 J/TH). Because each unit carries 190 TH/s, you need fewer machines, fewer power feeds and less rack space for the same total hashrate than with older miners.
Our T21 units are used and go through the same test as every second-hand miner we sell: a full load cycle on our own power supply, hashrate checked per hashboard, fans and PSU checked under real load, boards, connectors and case inspected. The achieved hashrate is logged and ships with the unit. At the 10-unit tier the T21 costs about €5.52 per terahash – compare that with the Antminer S21 at €9.13 per terahash new.
