Bitcoin Mining with Solar – Use PV Surplus Profitably

Turn PV surplus into Bitcoin: up to 5x more value than the feed-in tariff. Miners from €289, shipped from Germany in 2–4 business days.

Turning PV surplus into hashrate

Exported solar power often earns only a low single-digit cent amount per kWh depending on system and commissioning year. The same power inside an efficient miner produces Bitcoin, and under current network conditions that value is usually clearly higher. Solar mining is therefore mainly a decision about how to use surplus, not about hardware.

Sizing in numbers

1 kWp of PV yields roughly 900–1,100 kWh per year in Germany. A 1.7 kW miner draws about 40 kWh per day at full load, a 3 kW unit about 72 kWh. A typical home array covers that only around midday, so you either run on surplus or continuously at part load.

Two classes suit PV setups: cheap used miners where the low purchase price justifies part-time operation, and quiet efficient units such as the Avalon Q at 1,674 W.

Control and practice

Release is driven by a smart meter or the inverter interface. Braiins OS allows stepped power control instead of pure switching, which increases usable sun hours. Frequent cycling costs yield — steady part-load operation is better.

In winter the benefit inverts: the waste heat becomes the main return because it replaces heating energy.

Shipping, warehouse and delivery time

Stocked units ship within 2–4 business days from our warehouse in Bavaria, Germany. Because the hardware is already imported and cleared inside the EU, there is no import VAT, no customs paperwork and no waiting for air freight from Asia. Models sourced directly from the factory show their own delivery time on the product page.

We ship insured to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the rest of the EU. Orders above 1,000 € ship free within Germany, and express shipping is available for stocked units.

Payment, invoice and warranty

You can pay by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or cryptocurrency. Every order comes with a proper invoice showing VAT. EU business customers with a valid VAT ID are invoiced at 0 % under the reverse-charge scheme, and we can switch your session to B2B mode with net prices.

New and used miners are covered by statutory warranty under EU law. Used units are tested, cleaned and shipped with a logged hashrate; the exact scope is stated on each product page.

Advice before you buy

We help you check electricity tariff, power connection, cooling, noise and realistic payback before you order — including when the honest answer is that a machine will not pay off at your kWh price. Send us your electricity cost and the planned location and we will run the numbers with you.
